Quick and Dirty

"All things truly wicked start from innocence."

Ernest Hemingway

I don't normally quote very many people in my own writings, but for some reason after I sat down and worked some, this quote stood out in my mind which started me on the search to remember who said it.

Most people haven't the first clue about who they are or what they want to do.  I'd say that is true for 99% of the people.  The sad fact though, is that Hemingway was fully aware of who he was all the way up until he took his own life.  Which brings me to the question, Should you really know exactly what it is you want to do in life, constrict yourself to a plan?

Makes me think of the whole scenario of being stuck on an island and you can only bring 3 items.

What would yours be?

I plan on easing the first keyframes in, and working on the ending frames to make this a little more fluid.  At the time of making this animation, I was constrained by file size and length of time, per submission requirements.  It's hard to say that I'll change much more, but I'll see what happens once I get in there and start working on it.

With this one, I'm going to change some of the camera angles.  Other than that, I may change the background and a little bit of lighting, but for the better part, I think this one turned out the way I wanted it to...  granted I went through many revisions before this was ever posted.

This is from a long time ago, when I was first learning 3ds Max, but now I've grown accustomed to Maya.  Time will tell if I get an opportunity to work on this or not this semester.

Part of me wishes I could work on everything from the past couple of years, but honestly at this point I hunger to start on some of the new projects I'm trying to squeeze in.

But efforts in vain usually produce resentment.

Then again, maybe finishing up these works and school coming to an end will act as closure, the closing of a chapter titled "Disappointment and Frustration."

Happy Thanksgiving.
